Description:
We are searching for a Direct Marketing/Promotion Investing Copywriter Fool to help us with promotional e-mail and ad banner copy. This is a Full Time gig in our Alexandria, VA office.
Primary Responsibilities
* This position will perform a key role in helping to drive the "creative content" in all customer and prospect direct marketing communications.
* Contribute to concepts and write copy for assigned projects, including (but not limited to) direct to consumer emails, web site promotion copy, direct mail, print, and sales collateral.
* Create and produce innovative advertising and sales promotion ideas for Motley Fool investing products and services.
* Write, edit and proofread direct marketing content.
* Personally review all customer and prospect direct marketing communications creative and makes suggestions to maximize effectiveness.
* Work with internal clients to produce creative briefs for all campaigns/promotions.
* This position will be an integral part of the team tasked with designing and overhauling the customer communication stream.
Core Competencies
* Strong Financial/Investing direct response writing skills including experience writing/editing direct response for the Internet. Direct mail experience helpful.
* Must have the ability to convey the company's product and positioning through simple, effective phrases with a style that is clear, fresh and concise.
* Ability to communicate ideas effectively in verbal and written form to any audience through a variety of media.
* Experience with service or subscription customer acquisition, renewals, and win-back programs extremely helpful.
* Must have experience writing finance and investing marketing copy or copy writing experience and strong personal knowledge of investing..
* Detail oriented.
* Strong proofing skills.
* Must be effective in team environment.
* Must be flexible and be able to adapt to changing environment.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly.
* Ability to meet deadlines.
* Organizational skills are critical.
